Funerals UK Coping with Stress

Coping with the death of a loved one or friend is a very
stressful experience indeed. Finding ways to effectively
manage this stress can often help us through these difficult
times. There are many methods of doing this using
conventional and holistic therapies. Below are a few
offered by the latter, aimed at healing the mind, body and
spirit.

MEDITATION
Essentially meditaion is the process of allowing your mind
to be at peace, calm and focussed. Put simply it is letting
go of worries and anxieties. Breaking away from your
sadness, grief and sorrow and just allowing your mind and
body to be still. For many this is an invaluable tool for
releasing tension and relaxing. There are many ways to
meditate, but perhaps the simplest form is to focus the
mind in on an object. Perhpas the natural beauty of a
flower, or the warm flickering glow of a candle. The sweet
song of a bird, or the gentle rhythm of the ocean moving
back and forth. Whatever the object the aim is to totally
focus your mind on this singular thing until you reach a
point where all othe thoughts and feelings fade into the
background.

Aromatherapy & Massage
Many of us have probably already tried massage as a
means of easing aches and tension. If you have already
tried it there is no need to tell you of the uplifting benefits
that soft smooth hands and scented aromatherpay oils
can facilitate. Foot and leg massage is a particularly
useful aid for the relief of stress. Aromatherapy is
considered to be an ancient approach to 'total well being'.
In some instances able to relax, balance and restore the
body, mind and spirit.
Heres a great aromatherpay synergy for beating stress:
15 drops clary sage
10 drops lemon
5 drops lavender
10z carrier oil i.e. sweet almond, apricot kernel

Yoga
For thousands of years people have practiced the dynamic
combination of physical exercise and spiritual philosophy
known as yoga. Founded on the premise that the body,
mind and spirit are closely linked yoga encourages
'balance' in our lives. With the help of a good yoga
teacher it can help us to relax, focus and ease tension.
